Write It Down!

It's true that you - as a teacher - have a lot to share. Perhaps you have experienced an incredible workshop, taught an innovative course, read an inspiring book, or worked successfully with at-risk students. Mentor would like to invite all teachers to write an article for the newsletter and share that experience. Consider what you have to offer and begin to write it down.

Recently, a grade nine teacher was heard to say, "I never met a kid I couldn't like." She could write volumes about attitude in the classroom. Encourage your fellow teachers to submit an article to Mentor. What better way to tell them they're doing a good job? Does he/she have a successful band program? basketball program? science program? Is
there a teacher in your school who is good at keeping in touch with parents? Does someone have a knack for decorating their classroom? Send them to Mentor's web site address- www.baylite.ca/mentor - and invite them to "write it down!"
